Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 14, 2025

We use only 2 strictly necessary cookies. No consent banner needed.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to site owners.

Biozy uses a minimal number of cookies — only those strictly necessary for the service to function. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

Cookies we use

We use exactly two cookies, both set by Supabase for authentication purposes. These cookies are strictly necessary and do not require your consent under GDPR.

NameProviderPurposeDurationType
sb-access-tokenSupabaseStores your authenticated session. Required to stay logged in.1 hour (auto-refreshed)Strictly necessary
sb-refresh-tokenSupabaseUsed to refresh your session without requiring a new login.60 daysStrictly necessary

What we don't use

We do not use:

  • Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service
  • Facebook Pixel or any advertising/retargeting cookies
  • Hotjar, Mixpanel, or behavioral analytics tools
  • Any cookies that track you across other websites
  • Any cookies that identify you without your knowledge

Our internal analytics (profile views and link clicks) are stored server-side and are not cookie-based. They are anonymous and not linked to your identity.

Third-party cookies

Under normal use of Biozy, you will not receive third-party cookies. The only exception is if you use the background image presets from Unsplash, which loads images from Unsplash's CDN — Unsplash may set its own cookies in this case. Please refer to Unsplash's privacy policy for details.

Stripe sets cookies during the payment flow if you upgrade to Pro. These are session cookies used to process your payment securely and are deleted after checkout.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Note that deleting our authentication cookies will log you out of Biozy and you will need to sign in again.

Since we only use strictly necessary cookies, blocking all cookies will prevent Biozy from functioning correctly.

Changes to this policy

We will update this Cookie Policy if we change the cookies we use. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when this policy was last revised.

Since we use only strictly necessary cookies, we will not show a cookie consent banner — that would be unnecessary and annoying.
